Welcome baby Rosie!  You are as sweet as can be!  Mom approached me with this idea of arranging a wreath of beautiful pink flowers around her baby girl, and I felt the perfect accent is the tiny gold braided headband.  Perfection!

Rosie’s nursery is to die for, grey & pink and with many sweet girly accents. The rest of the house is pretty special too–this mama has great taste!

I live in Pittsburgh, the Castillos live in Sacramento, this session took place in Portland.  What??  I know, confusing.

It was a thrill to meet Rose, who was still a baby in my mind but is actually three! She reminded me SO much of Mimi (minus the diva attitude… I’m talking to you Mimi!) and I was wishing they would run around together in butterfly wings.  Not on this trip, but soon I hope!

Mama Stephanie is a highly educated and experienced pre-k special ed teacher (that is how we met, back in the early 00s in Cali!), so during this session she taught me many things about producing smiles and making a session fun.  There was a lot of talk of fairy dust and I felt like we were on an adventure the entire time.

The rest of this session is in this video, but there are three images in the video that I hadn’t retouched out some dirt on Rose’s leggings yet–can you spot them??  Special prize if you win.

Newborn baby girl Anna Rose is getting used to cuddles from her dog siblings, Dinger & Dale.  I always get some baby & dog pics during a lifestyle newborn session, but they don’t all cuddle up right next to baby with such little prompting!  What sweethearts!

I like how this photo of the family hands calls attention to their newborn baby’s tiny size–she will not be this little for very long!
