Welcome to the world, baby Lillian!  This little cutie's mama is a friend of mine, and big sister Madeleine is in Jonah's playgroup.  We always enjoy their company and I was so pleased to photograph their newest addition! Proud daddy of two girls: Julie is one of those moms who didn't complain about pregnancy and bounces right back afterwards!  So jealous... Madeleine is so patient with her little sister. I always feel so lucky when we get a good awake shot!  Both girls have blue eyes and both parents have brown... unusual right? Mt. Lebanon High School Senior Photographer | Brooke A. | Pittsburgh Senior Photographer

I got a glimpse into the lives of a couple Mt. Lebanon class of 2014 seniors in September, and it brought me back to my days as a high school art teacher, which was my job for 12 years!  I taught photography, drawing, painting, ceramics, and a few other arts-related courses, and I even taught AP Studio Art, which was my absolute favorite class.  I loved working with this age! So... onto the pictures.... Brooke and her mom were such a pleasure to work with because they were so active in the planning of this shoot.  They scouted many locations for me, carefully planned outfits, and were total troopers when I asked them to do things like hike through thorny meadows and carry my gear.  We did a few in the studio (for the yearbook!) but mostly shot on location near Bridgeville. Brooke is currently shopping colleges and plans to study elementary education. She loves working with kids, so I was able to convince her to assist me on some upcoming shoots, including my FREE Halloween portraits on October 26th.  Congrats Brooke on your upcoming graduation, can't wait to work with you soon! Check out this beautiful family/maternity portrait in front of a red barn in Pittsburgh, so pretty! 2 1/2-year-old Teagan and her mom and dad have lived in the Pittsburgh area for a few years now and they are expecting a little boy at the end of October. They recently moved to a house in the Upper St. Clair area, and that makes me so happy because Teagan and Jonah are buddies! I love this one: This is a great example of how a session location is SO important!  I have built up a solid list now and am super excited for all the family portraits I have coming up for fall!
