Welcome to baby Chance and congrats to his mama & daddy! This sweetheart came to me for pics at a little over 1 month of age. At this age we get more expressive portraits, with yawns, stretches, and purposeful eye contact.

Baby Chance already has a best friend in doggy Bianca, the absolute sweetest dog you could ever imagine!

This could be one of my favorite studio newborn portraits of all time. I love it because the images are clean & sharp, the baby is stunning and gave great eye contact, and there is so much grey!! I love grey!

That’s mama’s baby blanket on the right with the rainbows. Bringing your own blanket to the shoot is an easy way to add personality.

Baby Cara was already a month old when she same to my studio for her session, but she still drifted off to sleep, giving me a great variety of sleepy and awake images. Though I usually recommend the first two weeks for a newborn portrait whenver possible, I have had pretty good luck with “older” newborns and definitely welcome those 1-2 month old newborn sessions. Though the sessions tend to be longer and require a lot of patience, I find they pay off with beautiful expressions that the brand new babies aren’t capable of yet.

I’ve been doing a lot of these in-home lifestyle newborn sessions lately, and I am so pleased with the images! It’s extra special when we are joined by a “fur baby” as well, this time by a beautiful Weimaraner (definitely had to look up that spelling!) that is the same shade of grey as my sweet Labradoodle.

This sweet face belongs to Liam, one of my newest baby planners, so I will be watching him grow for the next year! :))) His mama & daddy posed outside for me and brought treats for the puppy–check out that tongue hanging out!
