Exposure Triangle Infographic | Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO explained | Pittsburgh Family Photographer

I made this infographic for a short workshop I am teaching today for moms & dads who want to learn to take better photos of their kids.  The most important lesson is about exposure (how much light enters your camera when you take a picture), which is controlled by shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.   Are you interested in a workshop like this?   I taught high school art and photography for 12 years before I started my photography business full time, so I have a passion for teaching & learning and a long history of training in this area. Sasha B. | Class of 2014 | Pittsburgh Senior Photographer

Beautiful, check.  Smart, check.  Nice, fun, interesting?  Check! I got to hear about some great classes they are offering at the high school and it makes me almost wish I were still teaching (I said almost!).  More importantly, Sasha is the one that filled me in on "Sporks"--a contest in which the seniors at Mt. Lebanon carry with them the very same spork for the entire school year.  They can't just carry it in their bag, but on their body.  Apparently there is a Twitter feed devoted to announcing who is "out."  I must admit I am impressed by this kind of devotion and I admire the commitment required to win! We shot these portraits in Sasha's unbelievably awesome Mt. Lebanon backyard. We caught the most perfect golden evening light! Congrats to Sasha and the rest of the Mt. Lebo class of 2014! *** Are you looking for a family or senior photographer in Mt. Pittsburgh Newborn Photographer | Baby Lillian & Family

Welcome to the world, baby Lillian!  This little cutie's mama is a friend of mine, and big sister Madeleine is in Jonah's playgroup.  We always enjoy their company and I was so pleased to photograph their newest addition! Proud daddy of two girls: Julie is one of those moms who didn't complain about pregnancy and bounces right back afterwards!  So jealous... Madeleine is so patient with her little sister. I always feel so lucky when we get a good awake shot!  Both girls have blue eyes and both parents have brown... unusual right? Congrats B family!  So happy for you and your girls! *** Are you looking for a maternity, newborn, family, or baby photographer in Pittsburgh?  Powder Blue Photography offers studio portraits of newborn babies and maternity and on location family portraits in and around Pittsburgh, including the South Hills, McMurray, Peters Township, Canonsburg, Bridgeville, Upper St. Clair, South Fayette, Mt.
