Baby Josie is a beautiful winter baby and we did this lifestyle newborn session in her Pittsburgh home.

We shot most of this session in mom & dad’s room but we also did a few portraits in baby’s nursery.

Pittsburgh Maternity Photographer | Maternity Studio Session | V Family

I did this maternity session when mama was in her last month of pregnancy.  I think height has a lot to do with it–my shorter mamas tend to be ready for a maternity portrait around 7 months, with taller mamas ok to go closer to the end–the risk of course is that baby will arrive before we shoot your session!

maternity portrait in studio grey seamless backdropFitted clothes that look a lot like your non-maternity clothes are a good option for a maternity session.  We did some more bare photos too but we will keep those private! 🙂

Welcome to life, baby Jasper!  This little sweetie joins big brother Liam, who is 3, so adorable and not shy at all!

Jasper was following me around the room with his gaze, which is very unusual for a newborn and makes for gorgeous eye contact in his portraits!  I love the first one with the red from the blanket in the bottom of the frame.
