Pittsburgh Squirrel Hill Newborn Photographer | Baby Rahul & Family

You know a mom of two boys is going to be well taken care of down the road!  We did this newborn session at my studio in Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh).

Big brother Sohan was super cooperative, and we got several wonderful shots of him and his newborn baby brother together. Melt my heart 🙂

This two-year-old was not at all camera shy!  This kid is so smart and can count to 100+!!

Some newborns are awake the whole session or asleep the whole session, but this time we got some awake shots and some asleep, perfect!

Keeley’s Courage | Congenital Heart Defect | Beads of Courage

I had the honor and pleasure to photograph Ms. Keeley this past weekend!  She is an absolute sweetheart and a beauty!  I know her mama through my moms group and have been following her story since she was born.

Keeley was born with a Congenital Heart Defect, which so far has required several surgeries and hospital procedures, including open heart surgery in September of 2013.  She spent several months in the CICU at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh but was able to finally go home in January.  She is expected to make a full recovery but will require her feeding tube and vent for the next year or more as she grows and recovers.

After all she has been through, it feels like an absolute celebration to be visiting her in her home, where, aside from the medical gear in her room, it felt like a normal portrait session with an adorable baby and a fun and inquisitive toddler.

Keeley showed off just a few of her beads that she received from the Beads of Courage program at Childen’s Hospital.  Through this program, children receive a bead for every procedure or hospital stay.  As you can imagine, Keeley has built up quite a collection–here you can see just a couple of strands, but mom has a whole box full of them.

Newborn “Baby D” Dennis Eugene | Pittsburgh Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

Check out the Strip District maternity session with these guys from December; I love these images especially because it was below freezing on this day, so we worked for it!!

Baby Dennis arrived just before his due date, and we did a lifestyle newborn shoot at this family’s amazing mid-reno home in the Friendship neighborhood of Pittsburgh.  Yes, it’s true, they are renovating a historic home with a 1 year old and a newborn! And you wouldn’t believe how calm they are–just goes to shown that you can handle a lot in life with a serene attitude.
