Sometimes a more casual and whimsical portrait of babies and children is desired (there are lots of examples of those in this gallery), but sometimes parents want something timeless and ageless. That is the case here, with this beautiful baby girl wearing her elegant baptismal dress. While this portrait is traditional, however, it isn't typical.
Look at the different textures and details in this photograph. The lace detail and elegant skirt on baby's dress tells you that this portrait marks a very special occasion in this family's life. Even baby's headband is dressy and says "special occasion. " What makes this portrait different is the lush texture of the rug, with its loopy white texture. This gives the photograph and cozy feeling, while still maintaining a formal look and feel.
