This could be one of my favorite studio newborn portraits of all time.  I love it because the images are clean & sharp, the baby is stunning and gave great eye contact, and there is so much grey!!  I love grey! That's mama's baby blanket on the right with the rainbows.  Bringing your own blanket to the shoot is an easy way to add personality. Baby Cara was already a month old when she same to my studio for her session, but she still drifted off to sleep, giving me a great variety of sleepy and awake images. Though I usually recommend the first two weeks for a newborn portrait whenver possible, I have had pretty good luck with "older" newborns and definitely welcome those 1-2 month old newborn sessions.  Though the sessions tend to be longer and require a lot of patience, I find they pay off with beautiful expressions that the brand new babies aren't capable of yet.
