Portrait of Three Generations | Portland, OR Family Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing three generations a couple weeks ago:

Dying over the grandma pic and the moms!  I would love a photo like that of my son, my niece, and their grandma, but they in Los Angeles and Pittsburgh, and I’m in Portland!  Someday…

Jessica & James were recently married in Cannon Beach, and I did their wedding portraits as well.  Weddings aren’t usually my thing, but this was more like a portrait since there weren’t guests to photograph, and I would gladly do an elopement again… it was so fun!  Here are a handful of my favorite pics from that day:

Such a happy family, love that baby!

PS: If anyone wants to elope to Hawaii, I am definitely available to take pictures 🙂

Horsford Family Portrait | Mt. Tabor, OR

These little ladies (Mahaela, 3, and Violet, 1 1/2) were as sweet as can be in their sassy outfits, complete with animal print & red shoes!  I really enjoy it when families dress creatively and I find that it adds a lot of personality to their portraits.

We did some posed shots first for the holiday card, but then we had some fun running around Mt. Tabor park, blowing bubbles, riding on the merry-go-round, and enjoying the beautiful October day.  When working with the under-5 set it’s important to get them moving and having fun, or a portrait session can quickly turn into a chore, and that’s the last thing I want!  Parents Rich & Kelly were great at corralling these energetic little ones and helping me get some beautiful portraits of their sweet faces.

I especially like this series of Mahaela blowing bubbles among the Douglas Fir trees:

What a beauty!

I did this shoot for an upcoming review at PDX Kids Calendar… so excited to be featured on my favorite Portland moms’ site!  Look for the review in early November at www.pdxkidscalendar.com.

Greenwald Betz Family Portrait | Pittsburgh Family Photographer

This is an inner southeast family with an adorable Old Portland house, complete with stunning front porch and a climbing wall and treehouse in the yard.  August (Gus) is 3 and baby Ezekiel (Zeke) is 9 months.  I just love these boys’ solid citizen names.  Gus was one of the names on our short list of baby names for Jonah (along with Grover and Emory), but we went with Jonah because it just seemed more suitable somehow.  Anyway, I loved how these portraits turned out with all the variations of stripes (3 shirts + siding) and with mom’s devotional tattoo peeking out alongside her adorable sons.  So charming!

Totally dying over Zeke’s two little teeth showing. He is just a couple weeks older than Jonah and reminds me of him so much!
