Baby Andra was born at the very end of August, just four days before the school cutoff!  Will she be the youngest kid in her class?  Yet to be seen!  Right now she is just focused on sleeping and eating mostly. This family lives right in my Mt. Lebanon neighborhood and I know mom from Mt. Lebanon Junior Women's Club, which I have been a member of for the past three years. Mom is an expert in all things design, some had their stunning home as a backdrop.  Big sister Kate was very sweet, holding and kissing her baby sister! During a diaper and feeding break, I got a tour of the gorgeous stone patio at this family's home. The nursery walls are black and the furniture is mostly white and neutral.  Very chic! I shot this Pittsburgh lifestyle newborn session just a couple weeks ago when baby Andrew was a couple weeks old.  We shot in their home, where I enjoyed some lovely blank backdrops because they had just moved in fairly recently! Baby Andrew's big brother Seth was thrilled to be cuddling his sweet new brother! Baby Andrew's room has the cutest rug from Land of Nod, which made a sweet backdrop for some of his portraits.  Since it was summer, we even shot some portraits outside with 11 yr old chocolate lab Tate. This lifestyle newborn photography session took place in my client's home in Pittsburgh.  Baby William is loved and protected by his dog Molly! I show most of my work in color but I like some images for black and white.  I usually choose black and whites for more dramatic lighting and higher contrast. We were trying to figure out who baby William looks like--mom or dad?  I am thinking 50/50! This family has a large, beautiful home but sometimes you have to follow the light right into a corner!  I loved this hallway corner for the bright light from the window.  We got a lovely portrait of Molly here as well! Baby William has a nautical themed nursery, with whales., anchors, and navy stripes. My favorite shots are these ones of William on the glider in his nursery and on a special handmade alphabet blanket (letter W of course!).  I don't think he made a sound during our entire two-hour session.  What a sweetie!
