Daddy Love | Portland Baby Photographer

There is something so special about dads & babies.  I took both of these portraits on the same day… different locations and families, but a very similar, sweet sentiment.

There’s nothing like daddy/baby love!

Portrait of Three Generations | Portland Family Photographer

I had a nine-person, multi-generational family join me in the studio over the holidays to capture a portrait of them all together.  Lucky me, got to take pictures of TWO little baby girls, one 5 months and one 6 months old!  They were also joined by a fun and good-natured 5-year-old brother/cousin, plus parents and grandparents.

One of the first shots we got was the one of Colden holding sister Mia and cousin Olivia, a photo that definitely turned out as sweet as I envisioned it… what a good sport to hold two babies at once!  Speaking of good sports, these two little ladies made it through the entire shoot without hardly a peep, such sweethearts, so loved and cherished by their moms & dads, grandma & grandpa!  Also impressive was the level of cheering and coaching these guys gave each other at picture time, lots of giggles and laughs for babies, adults, and photographer.

Post-session, Colden and I started talking iPad apps, and he got me hooked on Cut the Rope, so I am not sure I will have any time in the future to edit photos since I am so addicted to this game now.

Kim D | Portland Maternity, Family Photographer

Kim asked me to photograph her with her family back-to-back with a maternity session, so we doubled up and got it all done on the same day!  These guys were awesome, especially 16-year-old Mariah, who is obviously up on her posing and helped me get some great shots of the younger kids.

Kim is due in late December with a baby boy, Oliver.  Another calm mama, she glowed through our session, projecting contentment and ease throughout. Her long, pretty blonde hair is so striking in these photographs!  Congrats to Kim & family and baby Oliver, arriving in about a week (right around Jonah’s 1st birthday!) 🙂
